Exhibitions

Welcome to the rotating exhibitions wing of the Cat Butt Museum, where scholarship, confusion, and lint converge in uneasy harmony.

Please note that several galleries may be temporarily closed for grooming-related incidents.

🌌 The Void Stares Back

Special Dark Gallery Experience

A nearly black room dedicated to black cats whose orientation cannot be determined.

Guests are invited to ponder:

  • where the face is
  • whether they are being watched
  • if the tail just moved

Flash photography prohibited after the 2024 “collective panic event.”

🏛️ Fragments from Pompeii

Traveling Exhibition

  • Reconstructed Roman wall paintings
  • Speculative diagrams
  • One archaeologist resignation letter

Presented in partnership with the Institute for Extremely Unnecessary Research.
