We endeavor to create, collect, and present visual expressions which demonstrate the power of the cat butt and its message in art. We also undertake the responsibility of educating the community about cats' butts and their own various forms of expression.

About the Artists

Kara Dahl

Kara Dahl was born in 1978 in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas, where she has -to date- spent most of her life. She shares her days with her husband and 5 cats, who publish an online satire and humor publication as part of a small family business. When she isn't working or studying (life is a learning process of its own) she enjoys gardening, cooking, swimming, reading, and playing games on the computer.

Statement:

My motivation in art comes from expressing myself through humorous or spiritual forms. I'm happiest using my computer equipment as my tools, but I have been experimenting with more traditional media as well. When my work is going well, I can feel my art as an extension of my self. When people see my work, I'd like for them to feel an emotional impulse to explore relationships in their own lives, both with themselves and others. It brings me joy to hear when others discover a moment of peace or laughter after viewing my work.
